Contracting Parties

The contracting parties are Hiša Barbara / Cona plus d.o.o. and the customer/guest/client (hereinafter referred to as “guest”). If a third party placed the booking on behalf of the guest, that third party is jointly and severally liable with the guest to Hiša Barbara for all contractual obligations.

Conclusion of Contract

The contract is concluded once Hiša Barbara receives written confirmation from the guest and subsequently sends a booking confirmation to the guest. By this confirmation, the guest fully accepts these General Terms and Conditions (GTC). Note: an offer of accommodation does not constitute a reserved room. The guest must accept the offer by providing key data, upon which a booking confirmation is issued, guaranteeing the stay at Hiša Barbara. In special cases involving regular guests, a written order is sufficient, followed by confirmation from the hotel.

Currency

All prices are quoted in euros (€ / EUR) and include VAT and tourist tax.

Booking

A guest may make a reservation in writing via email Celje@hisabarbara.si by phone (+386 51 68 10 00), in person at Hiša Barbara’s reception, via the website www.hisabarbara.si  or through online booking portals. When booking through portals, the guest agrees to both the portal’s terms and Hiša Barbara’s GTC.

Guarantee

All bookings require a credit card guarantee valid for the entire stay. Please use the same card at check-in. Debit cards (e.g., Maestro) are not accepted as guarantee. Special terms may apply for corporate bookings or promotions.

Non Refundable Reservation

The guest’s credit card is charged the full stay amount on the booking date. These reservations cannot be canceled or changed. Specific cancellation terms apply as stated in the booking confirmation.

Cancellation or Modification

To cancel or modify a reservation, please email celje@hišabarbara.si  or call +386 51 68 10 00. Guests may cancel free of charge up to 5 days before the arrival date (by 10 AM, i.e., 120 hours prior). If the guest fails to arrive or cancel in time, 100% of the booked stay will be charged, unless otherwise stated.

No show: If the guest does not check in, their credit card will be charged according to the cancellation terms given at booking.

Payment

The following payment methods are possible: Visa, Mastercard/Eurocard, Diners, Maestro, cash, order form, pro forma invoice. If the payment method is an order form (applies only to companies), the order form must be delivered physically to the hotel or sent by email to celje@hisabarbara.si  no later than 12 noon on the day of the guest's arrival. If we do not receive the order form by the guest's arrival, we will be forced to charge the hotel guest for the stay. When paying by pro forma invoice, it is necessary to send a confirmation of payment of the pro forma invoice to the email address celje@hisabarbara.si For pro forma invoices, proof of payment must be sent to celje@hisabarbara.si at least 24 hours before arrival.

Services

The basic service includes accommodation with or without breakfast.

Check in / Check out

Check-in: 14:00 – 24:00 Check-out: do 10:00

The reserved room is held for the guest until midnight on the day of arrival. In case of later arrival, the guest is obliged to inform the hotel in advance - no later than midnight on the day of arrival to the email address celje@hisabarbara.si . If the guest does not notify the hotel in a timely manner, the hotel is not obliged to hold the room for the guest, and also has the right to charge the guest for no-show costs.

Early check-in or late check-out is possible by prior agreement and depending on availability: Free early check-in (12:00–14:00) if available; Before 12:00: 50% of the nightly rate; Late check-out until 13:00: free if available; Until 19:00: 50%; after 19:00: full night’s rate.

Guest Registration

Upon check-in, guests must present valid photo ID (ID card or passport) and complete a registration form, including credit card details as guarantee. These details are stored for up to 5 days after departure, then destroyed. Exceptional services may trigger charges to the provided card. Guests without cards must deposit €100 in cash, refundable at departure if no outstanding charges exist.

Early Departure

No refund is given for early departure. Exceptions require approval from Hiša Barbara’s management.

Tourist Tax

It is charged to all persons according to the conditions set out below by the City Municipality of Celje. Adults are charged a tourist tax of €2.50 per person per night. Children and young people from 7 to 18 years of age pay half the amount of the prescribed tourist tax, in the amount of €1.25 per person per night.

Children

Children are welcome. A free baby cot is available, subject to availability and prior request. An extra bed for a third person is available in three rooms and the apartment for €5 per night.

Pets

No pets allowed.

Parking

Hotel guests may park in the private lot for an extra €10, subject to availability. A public parking lot nearby requires payment via meter (cash) or apps (Centralka, Easypark).  

Access to Hiša Barbara and Rooms

Upon providing ID details, guests receive a numeric access code for entry to the hotel and their room.

Smoking

Smoking is prohibited in rooms and the apartment. It is permitted only on balconies (where applicable), the outdoor terrace, and surrounding areas. A €150 cleaning fee applies for violations, plus any additional damage costs.

Coffee and tea making equipment

In all rooms and apartments there is a mini kitchen with dishes and a coffee machine, a kettle and a hob. In the event of theft or damage to the equipment, we reserve the right to charge costs. It is not allowed to heat or cook any liquids or food other than water in the kettle. The costs of damage or theft of the kettle, coffee machine or hob are €100.00 for each of them.

Umbrellas

Umbrellas are available to borrow at reception free of charge. If not returned or kept, a fee of €30 applies.

Quiet Hours

Quiet hours are from 22:00 to 07:00.

Škoda

Pridržujemo si pravico in gost nas s podpisom na prijavnici pooblašča, da bremenimo kreditno kartico za morebitno škodo, ki je nastala v sobi gosta ali v hotelu med bivanjem gosta, ali za vse predmete, ki manjkajo ob odhodu gosta.

Gift Vouchers

The gift voucher is valid until the expiry date stated on each individual gift voucher. If no expiry date is stated on the gift voucher, the gift voucher is considered valid for one year from the date of issue. Gift vouchers must be presented before using the services and upon booking to the email address celje@hisabarabra.si . The original gift voucher must be submitted, copies of gift vouchers or scans are not valid.

Nearby Events

During spring, summer, and autumn, concerts or events may take place at the market near the Water Tower between 20:00 and 23:00 that may disturb evening rest. Guests are advised to inquire before booking.

Additional Services

Guests ordering services from third parties (e.g., transport, laundry, excursions) agree to have their data shared with the service provider for appropriate service delivery.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by Slovenian law. Both parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of Slovenian courts. Please note that Slovene is the official language of this site.
